This session will highlight the benefits of Supported Employment for Veterans, including improved mental and physical health, increased self-esteem, community integration, quality of sleep, sense of purpose, self-efficacy, satisfaction with the VA, possible financial stability and independence, and decreased suicidal ideation. We will also explore the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, which features rapid job search, systematic job development through employer engagement, person-centered vocational assessments, and ongoing follow-along supports to help Veterans achieve meaningful employment.
