Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Level II Trauma Center

NMCP is designated as a Level II Trauma Center, the only of its kind in the Navy. A critical asset to the community and beneficiaries, NMCP provides a comprehensive continuum of care facilitating resuscitation, emergency surgical intervention, intensive care, rehabilitation, and the coordination of outpatient care.

Mr. Brandon Coyle serves as the Dental Readiness Coordinator for the dental clinic at Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, which recently achieved a 95% Operational Dental Readiness target for the first time in over three and a half years. Coyle has deep ties to Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, having served at the clinic as a Sailor before transitioning to a GS Civilian staff member.

Finding a ‘fortune’ in radiology

Airman 1st Class Terrance Fortune uses skill, technology, and teamwork to play a critical role in keeping service members ready for duty by identifying injuries and aiding in their treatment.

The ACS Verification, Review, and Consultation Program helps hospitals to evaluate and improve trauma care by providing an objective, external review of a trauma center’s resources and performance.
